River View Apartments, Bidford-on-Avon
Just five miles downstream from Stratford-upon-Avon, River View offers luxury, residential apartments located within the conservation area of the historic Saxon village of Bidford-on-Avon. This exclusive new development on the doorstep of the Cotswold Hills is a gated development of nine apartments, conveniently situated in the heart of the village within walking distance of shops, cafes, restaurants and the river meadow.
Landmark Lifts was contracted by Prosser Homes to design, supply and install a communal lift for occasional use if required, between the ground floor and first floor of this new property development.
Project Scope
Prosser Homes required a stylish, high quality, bespoke lift design to complement the internal design of the new building project. To meet the space limitations on the ground floor of the development, the Aritco 4000 platform lift was specified for the project, as it could be supplied for residential applications with a compact footprint of 580 x 805 mm to meet the specification requirements. Additionally, this range of lifts can be installed directly onto a building floor with a 50 mm ramp for easy, retrofit installations where the majority of the building work has already been completed. The addition of the platform lift to the building design offered a solution for moving shopping between levels without having to use the stairs.
Aesthetics
To meet the visual impact and aesthetics of the project specification, the compact Aritco 4000 lift was selected as it can be customised by choosing from a wide choice of colours, up to nine different floorings, two different glass types, and two door types as well as LED lighting that offers lower power consumption. The exclusive, final design incorporated clear glass panels into the door and the walls for maximum light and visibility, and to meet the modern and clean visual style required for the project to blend with the interior colour schemes of the new building. The lift was finished in a classic white with a dark grey, non-slip vinyl flooring.
